Is it a chase? Or a dance?
Every now and then, one of them gets close enough to almost touch the other. For a moment, it looks like they might break off the incessant chase and finally embrace. A moment when wants and needs are within reach.
But then they break away and continue whirling around eachother in ever widening arcs.
No, this must be a dance.
Both butterflies perfectly synchronised, as if bound together by invisible threads. Dark blue bodies and rust wingtips flashing in the warm sun, a hypnotising dance of pheromones and courtship, a dance of celebration, of love.
